Visitors rave about the friendly and attentive staff, enhancing the welcoming vibe of The Wheel Inn. Families enjoy the dog-friendly policies, making it an excellent spot for outings with furry companions. The cozy atmosphere, combined with affordable prices, ensures a satisfying experience for all. Eating at The Wheel Inn is not just about the food; it's about enjoying the local community's spirit. The live music events and karaoke nights create an engaging experience that's perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. Moreover, regular patrons highly recommend the black pudding scotch egg, a must-try dish that keeps them coming back.

Most Disliked

Some patrons note that the pub can get quite crowded, particularly on busy nights like Fridays, sometimes leading to a longer wait for service. While most visitors praise the food, a handful mention that the menu could benefit from more vegetarian options, particularly on specific nights. Others express a desire for even more variety in the drinks selection beyond the current great beer and cocktail offerings. Ask anyone who visits about the parking situation, though, and they'll likely say they appreciate the ample free parking available.

I visited The Wheel Inn recently, a wake was held there after a family funeral. I have to say how nice of a place it was, the staff were brilliant and the quality of the food was awesome. For such a small cost per head the quality, variety and amount of food provided was amazing. I highly recommend this public house for its nice friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, a decent pint and lovely food.

We stopped here by chance, and I'm glad we did. We have a dog, and this place is super dog friendly and even has an enclosed dog exercise area. We've only had breakfasts so far, and they are very tasty and good value. Can't fault the place really and we will be back as often as we can.

The bar staff were amazing. I went to the pub to meet my friend for the birthday but the staff were amazing 🤩 they had a live music and they sang amazing and yh it's friendly pub to go with people in wheelchairs and disabled people too who either have a disability or can't go up stairs.
